I’m sure you noticed by now that when I write, I tend to use lots of commas. You may think to yourself that I have the grammar habits of a Yale man, but I promise you it’s nothing horrific like that, it’s just that I type exactly how I think.

When you see a comma, it’s because my brain took that moment to pause, for whatever reason, and you get to see that in real time because, like I mention in my FAQ, all of my posts are stream of consciousness. I don’t pre-plan these to any significant degree except when I open the “new” option in my control panel and put down what is weighing on my chest at any particular moment.

This is why you don’t see many posts longer than maybe 4 or 5 minute reads. Oh, believe me, I have stuff in me that could go on for 20 or 30 minutes, even an hour if I really wanted to dump it all out into text, but I try not to do that. Rambling is a trait of mine, and I try to spare people from seeing to much of it, especially if I’m trying to get a point across.

So I just wanted to let you know that I’m aware of the run-on sentences, the comma splices, the oddly located hyphens, and I don’t do anything about them because if I changed them, I change how they appeared to me as I was typing them out, and I’m sure you can understand why I, as someone who is autistic and ADHD, would absolutely not want to that.

Let’s not add to the imposter syndrome, know what I mean?
