Just a quick reminder that I am a socialist, and am not a patriot of the United States. I don’t give my allegiance to empires or the symbols they use to spread propaganda. So when people call me a communist for wanting kids to be fed, homeless people to have houses, sick people to have medicine, and an end to bombing innocents overseas, that is a compliment to me.
You compliment me when you call me a communist. You compliment me when you call me a socialist. I am in good company and I know it. My ethics do not include exploitation and I am proud of that.
I have many flaws, but my desire to love people and a willingness to push policies that protect them from harm is not one of them.
So if you think that bothers me when you call me unAmerican, or not a patriot, well, you are barking up the wrong goddamn tree. Take that bullshit elsewhere.
