For the slave is our brother.
And in his name, all oppression shall cease.
You don’t have to be a Christian to believe that the slave is our brother, and that we shall end all oppression, and we can do it in our names, in the name of human beings, wanted to pull each other out of the mire of oppression and pain, and put our feet on the solid ground of equity and humanity.
So that “he” can be anyone, any one of us. You are He, I am He, we are all He where He is the one who can begin breaking chains.
We can break chains. We have the power to break them together.
